Construction
Malibu Boats

Malibu is a company driven by engineering, not marketing. We absorb feedback from all sources — our engineers, our people on the line, dealers taking delivery and families who own our boats — and take the feedback to heart, informing innovations and modifying our processes. As a result, at the end of the day we build a better boat.

1. FibECS: Allows the engine to be through-bolted and the load dispersed over a greater area. Less vibration and quieter operation.
2. PRECISION CNC: Signature pieces, demand Malibu employee excellence.
3. GEL COATING: A 10-step ArmorCote gel coat process is backed with an exclusive, pure vinyl ester barrier coat and 3 oz. skin coat.
4. CUSTOM FABRICATION: We weld the frames for each mold and fabricate the supporting structure for locking storage enclosures.

Power Wedge
Power Wedge

The Patented Power Wedge adds another dimension of versatility to any Malibu model. This automatic hydrofoil can be set to almost any position between stowed and fully engaged changing wake size and shape along the way. The variety of settings allows the driver to tailor each pull specifically for the athlete in tow.

1. Power Wedge: Move the Power Wedge to as much as 1200 pounds of displacement with the push of a button. Or back the wake down to as little as 400 pounds.

2. Wedge Technology vs. Other: A trim tab that push the bow down, negating any wake-enhancing hull displacement. The Patented Power Wedge utilizes foil technology to displace the hull and adjust the attitude of the boat.

3. Gauge the wake: The driver will always be aware of the exact Wedge position thanks to the 2" Medallion gauge in the dash. What more could you want?

Malibu Indmar

Malibu’s close partnership with Indmar Marine Engines has delivered five high performance power plants and made the difference in 13 World records, six consecutive Boat of the Year awards and the number one sales ranking in the tow boat industry, world-wide.

1. Corvette: This year, Malibu Boats and Indmar are bringing the Corvette LS3 and the optional LS7 Z06 to the marine industry for exclusive use in the new Corvette Limited Edition Sport-v.

2. Breath Easy: The Catalyst is a huge achievement in boater safety. The ETX/CAT exhaust system substantially reduces carbon monoxide (CO) gases in all part-throttle operating modes. A slow, wakesurf session is as enjoyable it should be thanks to the new Malibu Hammerhead 383 or the Monsoon 350.

3. 320 LCR: With 320 horses and 375 foot-pounds of torque, this is the multi-port, fuel-injected power horse in Malibu?s engine line-up. Its core is the latest Delphi ECM (engine computer module), running the latest software, custom-calibrated by Indmar. The 320 LCR is programmed to deliver the power, turn-key starts, dependability and fuel efficiency that only Indmar&srquo;s MPI delivers. (Not available in California.)

4. Monsoon 350 ETX/CAT: The Monsoon 350 (350 HP) delivers out-of-the-hole with 397 foot-pounds of torque. This customized version of GM&srquo;s Vortec 5.7L is designed specifically for Malibu&srquo;s performance hulls. The Indmar ETX/CAT one-piece tuned manifolds reduce Monsoon emissions to almost nothing. The highlift roller cam and free-breathing Vortec heads make this engine one of the most powerful, dependable blocks ever built.

5. Hammerhead 383 ETX/CAT: The Hammerhead 383 (400 HP) is the most powerful 6.2L small-block V8 ever developed for inboard use. Its aggressive new appearance matches its 400 horsepower and 420 foot-pounds of torque. Capped with Malibu&srquo;s exclusive intake plenum, it sports Indmar&srquo;s highflow multi-port induction system, GM&srquo;s FastBurn aluminum heads and Indmar-spec cam with 1.6:1 roller rockers for less friction, more power. Indmar has also added the ETX/CAT one-piece tuned exhaust manifolds to the 383 this year, which has reduced this engine&srquo;s emissions to nearly zero.

6. Vortec 8100: Vortec 8100 (425 HP) its 496 cubic-inch offers up to 450 horse power and 525 foot-pounds of torque. 9.1:1 high-compression Vortec heads turn out more usable power from every fuel charge. The MPFI aluminum intake manifold bolsters cylinder-to-cylinder airflow distribution for cleaner, more dependable combustion. Finely tuned plenum runners and the coil-near-plug ignition system (distributor-less) enhance low-end torque and delivers awesome power.
