Malibu Boats have really pushed the limits with the 2010 Line-up with the introduction of a new Wakesetter VLX, 21vRide, 23vRide and Response FXi. They have also included loads of new standard features and options some of them are listed bellow -
MyView
6.5" Colour display module in the centre of the dash, displaying everything from Engine temp, Lake temp, Speed Control, Ballast Control and Even Power Wedge Position.
Active Power Wedge
Malibu have improved on their power wedge for 2010 by introducing a active system that will set the wedge to the required position once the boat has reached its required speed. Saving up to 20% in fuel consumption.
Framless Screen
Malibu's 2010 Line-up have all been designed with the new frameless vented windscreen.
New Suzuki 70, 80 and 90hp lightweight (4-Stroke)
Recently coming back from the launch of the new Suzuki 70, 80 and 90hp engines. We were keen to get them on the back of one of our boats to test them out our self. We have recently rigged a Seamark 480SC with one of the new Suzuki 90hp (4-Stroke) engines and are extremely happy with the performance and efficiency of the engine. Being the lightest 90hp 4-Stroke on the market should be a huge advantage over other engine manufacturers as weight has been a huge issue with most boaters since the loss of the 2-Stroke engines. What Suzuki have to say.....
These 1950cc 4-stroke EFI motors are powerful, responsive and incorporate the latest outboard technology. The utilisation of innovative designs like offset drive shaft and two stage mixed cam drive system make these the most compact motors in their class. Reducing the engine profile on the transom and improving weight distribution, balance and directional stability. Add a 16 valve double overhead cam design and Suzuki Multipoint Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection and you have the high performance that boat owners demand linked with low running costs, low noise and low vibration.
A big two stage gear reduction of 2:59 produces a good spread of torque across the power band and where low speed is equally important the 629rpm idle is a real bonus.
The Suzuki 90/115 4-strokes are also some of the cleanest outboards ever produced exceeding the world's toughest emissions regulations - CARB 2008, and the proposed EU2004 standard.
